The Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) is wide all through the United States, along with being the sole representative of the Pachydiplax genus.Males are characterized by blue eyes, a blue abdomen and white striped thorax.
Like many of the Libellulidae females, the female blue dasher is brown.
